About the Client:
Our client is the leader in the collision repair industry and associated auto parts market in Australia and New Zealand.
Job Position: Panel Beater / Auto Body Technician
Location: Australia
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum
TSS 482 Visa/Transfer of nomination available for outstanding candidates
Role Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times. Report any safety incidents or near misses to the Production Manager or Centre Manager immediately.
- Attendance Tracking: Clock on and off each day to reflect attendance, ensuring engagement in a job or task at all times.
- Parts Management: Receive parts, check for correctness and damage, and disassemble vehicles as per Job Sheet. Label and store parts accordingly.
- Repair Process: Notate broken parts/extra repairs, submit to Estimator, and ensure authorization before proceeding. Repair vehicles as per the Repair Method and in accordance with the Estimate/Job Sheet.
- Preparation and Assembly: Prep and prime vehicles as per Job Sheet requirements following the paint supplier’s SOP. Reassemble vehicles as per Job Sheet.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure work complies with company QA standards and sign the QA Sheet to confirm the quality of work.
- Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean workbay/workshop and handle all company tools and equipment with care.
- Apprentice Coaching: Coach apprentices if assigned.
- Additional Duties: Undertake all lawful and reasonable requests by management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Trade Qualified Panel Beater
- Physically fit and able to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Compensation:
- Annual income for a standard 38-hour week excluding superannuation:
- Junior-Mid experienced Tradesperson: $70,000 to $80,000
- Mid-Senior Tradesperson: $80,000 to $100,000
