Training and Development
We prioritize the professional growth of our Social Workers through extensive training and development opportunities. Our support includes:
- ASYE completion for NQSWs
- Social work degree apprenticeships for non-registered staff
- Training for experienced Social Workers as Practice Educators

Available Roles and Teams
Integrated Community Coordination Teams (ICCT)
- Conduct strengths-based Care Act assessments
- Develop person-centered support plans
- Work with diverse service user groups (ages 18+)
- Promote wellbeing and community connections
Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
- Support vulnerable adults at risk of abuse or neglect
- Screen and complete Safeguarding S42 enquiries
- Collaborate with individuals and partner agencies
Review Team
- Reassess individuals recently discharged from hospital and those in the community
- Work with contracts, commissioning, and quality improvement teams
- Focus on outcomes and legal literacy
Urgent Community Response (UCR)
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (Nurses, Therapists, GPs, Community Geriatricians)
- Roles include Home First, Urgent 2-hour Community Response, and Frailty Virtual Ward
- Support Personalisation and inclusion Pathways for Adults and Carers
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Work within a small team of Best Interest Assessors (BIA)
- Conduct DoLS assessments
- Provide advice and guidance across Adult Social Care
Professional Standards
- Ensure quality of practice across the Adult Social Care directorate
- Conduct audits to provide assurance on intervention quality
Community Intermediate Care Centre (CICC)
- Provide rehabilitation services
- Support Arrowe Park Hospital with social admissions
- Work with multi-agency teams to ensure patient safety and effective care
Requirements
- Registration: Social Work England
- Qualification: Relevant social work degree
- Development: Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- License: Valid driving license and access to a car
